Kitgum district acquires five motorcycles for schools’ inspection

Kitgum District Local Government has acquired five motorcycles for the education department.

This, according to the Kitgum District Chairperson, Mr. Arwai Christopher Obol, is aimed at improving inspection and monitoring of schools in a bid to improve education service delivery in the district.

He said the district has now posted Inspectors of Schools to Chua East and West Constituencies for easy access to the schools.

While receiving the motorcycles on Tuesday morning, Mr. Anthony Lawot, the Kitgum District Education Officer – DHO said the motorcycles will ease movement of the inspectors so that they are always in touch with schools.

He said 3 motorcycles will be allocated to the education officers while 2 will be given to the schools’ inspectors.

Kitgum district boss, Mr. Arwai, revealed that some of the motorcycles were acquired on loan which calls for concerted efforts from all stakeholders so the loans are serviced.
