Bishop Challenges Couples to Be Resilient for Marriages to Last

Kitgum Diocese Bishop, Rev. Wilson Kitara has implored married couples to be resilient and seek God’s guidance whenever disputes arise in their marriages.
He made the remarks on Thursday during the celebrations to mark the 47th marriage Anniversary of Mr. Nyeko Kezekiya Johnson and Ms. Venturina Angee Nyeko held at St Banabas Church of Uganda in Paloga Sub-County Lamwo District.
Bishop Wilson Kitara noted that many couples have failed to stick to matrimony due to various factors including dishonesty.
He said God is unhappy with couples who spend less time in marriage and called upon Christians to seek God’s guidance before, during and after marriage so that they are guided by the holy spirit in their union.
he also appeals to couple to follow God’s way by being peaceful and hopeful in order to overcome obstacles.
