232 candidates pass PLE in division one in Kitgum municipality

A total of 232 candidates out of the 1192 who sat the 2023 Primary Leaving Examinations – PLE in Kitgum Municipality whose results were released on Thursday January 25, 2024 passed in division one.

However, results for some schools like Kitgum Demonstration and Oryang Ojuma Primary Schools were still missing by press time due incomplete payment to UNEB, according to the Kitgum Municipal Officials.

The results a copy of which Tembo FM obtained, out of the 1192 candidates that sat for PLE in 2023, those for only 1054 candidates were out and 138 result were still missing at the time of filing this story.

232 candidates passed in Division 1, 675 in Division 2, 85 in Division 3,12 in Division U (ungraded) and 3 in Division X, meaning they didn’t sit.

When we sampled some schools, in Kitgum Public Primary School, out of the 130 candidates that registered for PLE in 2023, 20 passed in 1^st grade ,106 scored 2^nd grade, 3 in 3^rd grade and non in division U.

In Pandwong Musilim Primary School 18 candidates passed in 1^st grade,116 in 2^nd grade, 1 candidate in 3^rd grade and 1 candidate in DU.

In Horizon Westland, 18 candidates in 1^st grade and 18 in second grade, while in Global view preparatory school 42 candidates passed in first grade, the most first grades for a school so far in Kitgum Municipality.
