153 Shortlisted for Interview to Join Police from Aswa East

A total of 153 applicants have been shortlisted for interviews in the east Acholi districts of Kitgum, Lamwo, Pader and Agago to join the Uganda police force. The force is seeking to recruit 25000 personnel countrywide in the forthcoming recruitment drive.

Aswa east regional police commander, ACP Anatoli Katungwensi told journalist on Wednesday during a press briefing at his office that in the region, 48 people have been shortlisted from Kitgum district, 33 from Lamwo, 33 from pader and 39 from Agago district.

Their interviews have been scheduled to 20th april 2024 and official dates per district for the interview will be communicated later

He warned that whoever has a forged document should not risk since they will be arrested and charged with utterance of false documents and forgery.

The Aswa East Police Boss stressed that they will thoroughly screen all the applicants to weed out criminals who might have been wrongly recommended by the LCI Chairpersons for the job.

He said the applicants will be taken through various exercises including aptitude test, physical and medical check-ups among others.
