Owners of unfinished buildings face eviction

The central executive committee of central division in Kitgum municipality is mooting plans to serve owners of incomplete buildings with warning letters to have them finished.

Mr. Godfrey Toolit, the Urban Chairperson Three, Central Division reasons that some structures are not fit to be in the central business district given the pace at which Kitgum municipality is developing.

Mr. Toolit they are also in talks to have the former satellite market sites of Akurukwe and Tuma Atoo cleaned by the land owners for the purpose of maintaining goo sanitation in town.

Also, Toolit says the division is to condition landlords to have their buildings painted to beautify the town.

He also appealed to the hotel owners to install CCTV camera as directed by the division council last year during a council sitting

He warned that defiant property owners will be penalized accordingly.
