Renovation of Kitgum council hall has started

Kitgum District Local Government on Tuesday January 9th 2024 handed over the District Council Hall to BN Engineering Company Limited for its renovation. The renovation of the Kitgum district council hall will cost 77.777 Million Shillings.

Mr. Pico Willy, the ag. district engineer said, the renovation works will take only four months; after which, the contractor will hand the structure back to the district authority. He said the scope of work shall cover renovation of the council roof, windows and fixing the cracks on the wall among others.

Mr. Habib Abubaker, the Chief Administrative Officer- CAO Kitgum emphasized that value for money shold be realized by doing quality work.

Meanwhile, Mr. Arwayi Christopher Obol, Kitgum District chairperson noted that there are many structures that need renovation but the district is constraint by limited resources to execute the works.
