KTI Alumni Donate 3D Light Signage to Kitgum Technical Institute

The alumni of Kitgum Technical Institute (KTI) on Wednesday donated a 3D light signage worth 980,000 Ugandan shillings to the institution as part of their efforts to give back to their former school.

The signage was handed over to the management of Kitgum Technical Institute through the Kitgum Resident District Commissioner, Mr. Ebil Jimmy Ssegawa.

The Chairperson of the KTI Alumni Association, Mr. Obalim Omo, said the contribution was made through donations from former students of the institution.

Omo said the alumni decided to give back to the institution for providing them with an opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills that have enabled them to succeed in life. He added that the signage would also help make the institution more visible to the public.

The Principal of Kitgum Technical Institute, Mr. Kidega Aldo, thanked the alumni for supporting the institution and appealed to them to maintain their commitment to helping the school.

Kidega also called upon former students of other institutions to come together and form alumni associations so they can contribute to the development of their former schools and support their visions.

The Kitgum Resident District Commissioner, Mr. Ebil Jimmy Ssegawa, commended the KTI alumni for their contribution, saying the 3D light signage would improve the appearance of the institution and could attract more learners to join the college.

Ssegawa said the continued growth and strength of the institution depends partly on the support of its former students, urging alumni to remain committed to contributing to the development of their former school.

The 3D light signage will be installed at the main gate of Kitgum Technical Institute, which is currently under construction and nearing completion. The construction of the gate is being supported by the institution and its students.
