The Bishop of Kitgum Diocese, Rt. Rev. Wilson Kitara, has urged Christians to use the Easter season as a period for reflection and positive personal transformation.
Delivering his Easter message on Tembo FM’s Lagam Palwak programme this morning, Bishop Kitara encouraged believers to turn away from negative behaviours and embrace values that foster moral and spiritual growth.
He strongly condemned alcoholism, describing it as a major cause of poverty, family breakdown, and illiteracy in communities.
The Bishop also advised residents to avoid engaging in land disputes, instead using their land productively to drive development.
He further encouraged Christians to draw inspiration from the resurrection of Jesus Christ to change their ways and live righteous lives.
Bishop Kitara emphasised the importance of walking in the light and promoting peaceful coexistence during and beyond the Easter period.
