Rev Jabuloni Issoke Memorial College is set to celebrate its silver jubilee with service, confirmation of students, and blessing of the candidates ahead of 2024 National Examinations.
According to Mr. Olaa James the head teacher Rev. Issoke Memorial School that opened in 1999 with 50 students will celebrate its 25 years of excellence in changing the lives of the community through providing qauility education, promoting talent and providing job opportunities to the communities in Kitgum and surrounding areas.
He urged the public to join hands in making celebration colorful and finding better ways to make the school greater.
Rev. Willy Olango, the foundation body representative said the celebration is meant to give gratitude to God for all the wonders the school has done in shaping better Ugandans and keeping the flame of Issoke lighting
He added that they will also use the celebration to promote the legacy of the people who started the church in 1913.
The celebration will begin on Friday with Cleaning Kitgum Town, and supporting vulnerable persons surrounding the school. On Saturday, there will be a football match between Issoke Staff and Kitgum Media Team before the main celebration on Monday 7th Oct 2024 at Kitgum Diocese Ground.
The theme for the celebration is taken from John 15:16 with the main Preacher coming from Bunyoro Kitara Diocese, Rt. Rev. Bishop Jacob Aterweho and the Chief Guest will be Hon. Henry Okello Oryem, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs.
