Kitgum district receives 2nd cycle of essential medicines

Kitgum district received the second cycle of essential medicines from the National Medical Stores on Thursday, to be distributed to all health facilities in the district.
Mr. Jimmy Clay Omony, the Kitgum District Medical Supervisor, stated that the drugs will be distributed to all Health Centre IIs, IIIs, and IVs in the district.
He urged community members to visit the health facilities for medical assistance, as the drugs are available in all locations.
Mr. Arwai Christopher Obol, the Kitgum District Chairperson, praised the National Medical Stores for their ongoing collaboration and timely delivery of medical and non-medical items to the district.
He appealed to the administrators of the various facilities to make proper use of the drugs and to refrain from attempting to steal and sell them in clinics.
Haji Waliri Marijan, the Deputy RDC for Kitgum, also warned both internal and external thieves not to be tempted to steal the drugs, adding that they will closely monitor the usage of these medications to improve service delivery.
