Alebtong district local government has received a gravity water
project from the ministry of local government worth shillings 1.2b in

The project was on Tuesday launched by the minister of local

Speaking at the function held at Alanyi primary school in Abako sub
county, Minister Magyezi said that the NRM government is committed to
its mission of ensuring that every village in the rural countryside
has safe and clean drinking water sources.

He also directed that the piped water should be extended to St Theresa
Alanyi girls senior secondary school, Alanyi primary school and the
Catholic parish headquarters in the same vicinity.

Ajuri county MP Denis Hamson Obua commended Mr. Magyezi for
considering Alebtong district among 17 districts in the whole country
for the gravity water scheme.

Obua further stated that the NRM
government has been considerate to Alebtong districts on
developmental projects and he cited three seed secondary schools and
two new health centers which were granted by government in a space of
one year.

David Kennedy Odongo, the Alebtong district LCV chairperson who
