Addressing Journalists at Alpha Resort Hotel in Lira City on Wednesday, the Pastors through their Chairperson Rev Johnson Ogema said they have all unanimously agreed to condemn this act anybody found promoting any act of homosexuality in Lira and Lango as a whole.

According to the clergies, homosexuality is a sin before God and is a disgrace and an abuse to humanity adding that it is also wickedness to accept gay and lesbianism practices adding that it must be rejected by all Ugandans.

The Clergies further cautioned members of Parliament hailing from Lango to do the needful and support their Counterparts from other regions in the country by ensuring that the anti-gay bill is passed into Law.

Some years back, the Ugandan Parliament passed into Law the anti-gay bill and it was subsequently signed by President Museveni but later the Constitutional Court quashed it saying by the time the bill was passed into Law, Parliament lacked quorum.
