British Hygiene Care Founder, George Mawaa becomes a doctor

Kisumu,Kenya: The founder of British Hygiene Care Ltd, Northern Uganda leading Hygiene and sanitation is among a team from Uganda and currently in Kisumu, Kenya to receive an award of a doctorate degree in community development from Lead Way Institute of  

Mawa George was also the former mayoral candidate for Lira municipality, now a city and will on Saturday this week attain a title of Hon.Dr George Mawa

His award, according to the officials of the institution is due to his leading contributions toward the development of Northern Uganda.

Speaking from Kisumu, George Mawa expressed gratitude toward the development.

 Who is Hon Dr. George mawa and What are his contributions

In 1998, Hon. George Mawa who was born and raised from a humble family settled and joined teaching the profession where he rendered his services at Aloi demonstration School then Lira District now present day Alebtong district. In 1999_ 2000 he then transferred his services to Akia Primary School in Lira. 

In the year 200, the hardworking business man due to his love and passion for education, started a vocational school, Church of God international vocational school in Northern Uganda in to help vulnerable children at that time.

Using his vocational school, he trained and created employment for the disadvantage youth.

Upon seeing increased number of children on the street, George Mawa established an orphanage center in Lira at the time when people were confined in IDP camps.

His contributions in the music industry will always be remembered as he became the first to establish a musical recording studio in Northern Uganda.

Mawa has been the great icon in the fight against corruption during the construction of Lira Main Market while he ensured the project went successfully execute and free from corruption and wastage of public resources.
