 ULGA leaders urge districts to pay for subscriptions, for better representation

The plea was pronounced in the Uganda Local government Association (ULGA) northern meeting that took place on March 13-2024, at Paulin Hotel, Lira city. 

The meeting gathered LC5, LC3, Chief administrative officers, council speakers and their deputies among others from all districts in Northern Uganda, including Lango,Acholi and West Nile sub regions.

Speaking at the meeting, ULGA president, and Richard Rwabuhinga Expressed concern over dire state of healthcare, education and infrastructure in various districts in Northern Uganda, urging leaders of these districts to consistently pay for their yearly subscription under ULGA, to empower their representation at both national and international level.

According to Vice president ULGA, Andrew Moses Awany the subscription shall empower ULGA representatives to make a keen follow up on all government programs meant for the local government in order to ensure all the target groups benefit accordingly.

During the meeting, a section of districts from Northern Uganda pledged to pay their 2024 subscription under ULGA.
