SP Jimmy Patrick Okema, the North Kyoga regional police mouth piece , said the suspect allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old juvenile, a student at Amolatar Secondary School.

Odur, a local journalist with Hot FM radio based in Amolatar district, is alleged to have been engaging in sexual relations with the lady right from December 25, 2022.

According to police, Odur recently also picked up the same girl from her school for Easter festivals; fortunately, some students spotted them and immediately alerted school authorities, leading to his arrest.

“It’s alleged that the same suspect sneaked into the school and picked the girl with intentions to have sex with her, but in the process some students found them red-handed but the suspect escaped,” Okema said.

He said police have recorded a statement from the victim, and the suspect is being detained at the CPS of Amolatar district.
