Paul has been on oxygen for the last one year

According to a letter signed by a physician at Lira regional referral hospital, the 23-year-old man named Paul Arac was diagnosed with a rare and untreatable lung disease which makes him unable to get enough oxygen into his lungs and blood thus requiring to be on chronic oxygen therapy.

The doctors are also worried that Arac who has been confined to the hospital bed for nearly year risks being exposed to hospital acquired illnesses. Unfortunately, he cannot yet be discharged before the family acquires for him a personal mobile oxygen therapy which they are not able to afford.

Betty Adong, the mother of Paul Arac says the doctors have told them the equipment will cost between shillings 3.5m-5m which they can’t afford at the moment. Adong is now turning and appealing to well-wishers and philanthropists to support this noble cause.
