Pader: Contractors warned against abuse of funds

Pader district chief administrative officer Robert Adebuason has warned contractors against abuse of public funds meant for projects.
He made the remarks on Tuesday 7th March 2023 during the groundbreaking ceremony of Pader-Awich and Latanya road which has a budgetary allocation of 2.7 billion shillings.
The two roads will be rehabilitated by Aminkwac Investment Limited in the current financial year 2022/23.
The Cao reported that some contractors misuse money to seduce young girls and married women into sexual immorality in the local community, a vice he said should be brought to a halt.
In a related development, Mr.Milton Odongo, the Pader resident district commissioner also commissioned a 5 kilometer-road known as Otim Benson road constructed by Amin-cwac Company limited to a tune of 235 million shillings.
While commissioning the road, Odongo said the community should make Proper use of the roads and maintain it.
Meanwhile, Mr. Fearless Kilama Wod-Acholi, the Pader town council chairperson LC III applauded government efforts in opening roads network, but asked the contractor to stick the drawn plan and widen the road.
