TCEN calls for learner’s participation in combating climate change through tree planting

The Community Empowerment Network (TCEN) Uganda, a non-government organization has encouraged school children to participate in the restoration the environment through tree planting in a move to avert climatic changes.

The message was delivered by the Chief Executive Officer, The Community Empowerment Network (TCEN) Uganda, Sunday Medard on Saturday the 25th of April 2026, while launching tree planting and Nursery bed preparation at Bugido integrated Nursery and Primary school located in Mpara town council Kyegegwa district.

For his part, Mwesigwa Simon Solon, the programs lead in the Community Empowerment Network, says they are targeting to plant over 1000 trees in different institutions every year.
