Leaders in Kamwenge District have commended the ongoing construction works at Ntonwa Seed Secondary School and Bishozi Seed Secondary School in Kibale East County.
The two projects, being undertaken by TAMSAK DEV’T LINK at a cost of more than UGX 6 billion, are expected to be completed early next year.
During a joint inspection by Kamwenge District leaders and officials from the Ministry of Education and Sports on Monday, June 29, 2026, the contractor was praised for the quality and progress of the work at both Bishozi Seed Secondary School in Nkoma Sub-county and Ntonwa Seed Secondary School in Ntonwa Sub-county.
The inspection team included the Kamwenge District Vice Chairperson, Mrs Harriet Mujuni; the District Secretary for Works, Mr Muhwezi Yonani; the Kamwenge Resident District Commissioner, Mr Africano Aharikundira; the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO); and engineers from the Ministry of Education and Sports.
They, however, urged the contractor to maintain the current pace of work to ensure the projects are completed within the agreed timeframe.
Abraham Tugume of TAMSAK DEV’T LINK noted that the works are at 35% completion at both sites, Bishozi and Ntonwa, adding that they hope to complete the projects on time.
However, Engineer Abraham said they are facing challenges, particularly water shortages, despite efforts made to secure adequate supply.
