Kwania mourns loss of the District NRM Party Chairman

National Resistance Movement-NRM Party and Kwania District family are in grief following the demise of the District NRM Party Chairman Sammy Omara Angai who breathed his last on tuesday 22nd Feb 2023.

Omara Angai, 56, who was still in active service as Kwania District NRM Party Chairman is reported to have broken down while at his home in Olami A cell, Ikwera ward in Aduku town council last week, He was swift to St Pope John Hospital Aber in Oyam District where he was pronounced dead.

Omara’s son Mr. Alfred Amos Odongo confirmed to Radio Apac that his father who also served as Aduku Sub County LCIII Chairperson for over 15 years has been battling heart related complications which might have caused his demise.

George KK Akaca, Kwania District NRM Secretary General says Omara Angai has been a very committed carder and a dedicated team player, whose good service shall be missed by the entire NRM fraternity.

Hon Tonny Ayo the Kwania county legislator has described the late Omara as a dependable politician who selflessly served his party without expecting any recompense saying his demise has already left a big gap in the NRM party which will require a lot of time to bridge.

Omara is expected to be laid to rest next week on Wednesday 1st March 2023 at his ancestral home in Amwak village, Ongoceng parish, Aduku Sub County in Kwania District.
