Unknown Gunmen Kills Apac Businessman

Mr Denis Angole lies in a pool of blood at his Home Gate after being shot on 11th March 2023 at 12:15am

Police in Apac district are investigating a case in which a businessman Mr. Angole Denis was shot dead on Saturday night at around 12:15am from his home gate in Ocokcan cell, Dam ward, Akere Division, Apac Municipality.

The deceased Mr Angole Denis is the managing director of Deno and Sons Enterprises situated in Apac town and he is commonly known as Deno and Sons.

The area local council one chairperson of Ocokcan cell where the incident happened Mr. Boniface Okwir confirmed to Radio Apac that they now live in anxiety since the incident has then ensued for the first time in the area calling upon security personnel to quickly swing in action in a bid to get the assassins.

North Kyoga regional police spokesperson, SP Jimmy Patrick Okema confirmed the incident saying police led by the Apac District police commander visits the crime scene where investigations has since commenced to get and ascertain the motive of the assailants.

It’s alleged that the deceased after supplying whole sale items using his motor vehicle came back to his shop in the evening and loaded more items to be supplied the next morning and even balanced his books of account up to around 11:30pm before heading home.

Report says he left the shop using his tipper vehicle registration number UAU 690Q up to his gate and that’s when he was confronted by unknown armed robbers who shot him dead three bullets with an AK 47 Riffle, in the head and two bullets in the stomach.

According to Mr. Okema Three cartridges and one live ammunition were recovered from the scene of crime, search conducted and scene documented and cordoned off for further analysis.

“The motive is still not yet clear, and police appeal for support from members of the public as we join hands together to hunt for the assassin’s”, Okema Said.

Mr Okema also appealed to business men to be very careful of their personal security.
