Apac Football Cooperate league 2023 enters its 8th week

The Apac District 2023 football cooperate league which started with aims of providing opportunities to the elite, busy and occupied persons to relax, energize and keep healthy has already entered its 8th week and its projected to end in April 2023.

According to Mr. Sam Sammy Atim who is the Chairperson of the league, the tournament which started on 21st January 2023 is galloped towards creating an opportunity for young people to envisage football skills, build team spirit and sporting discipline from veteran players and as well acting as a source of relaxation, recreation and enjoyment avenues.

Mr. Atim said the cooperate tournament will always be seasonal arguing different companies to use the opportunity to carry out product sampling, sales promotions, public outreaches such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) among others in order to market their products. He however said all the players in the league are those currently not on active football.

These games played only on Saturdays are to promote team building, Physical fitness and staff motivation among the corporate affiliates in and outside Apac according to Mr Sam Atim.

Mr Ivan Olinga the league Public relations officer confirmed to Radio Apac that so far eight games have been played by all the four teams with team Obua Denis leading the table with 13 points (4 goals) followed by Opon Acak with 13 points (3 goals), Oyite Ojok 3rd with 8 points (-5 goals) and Akii-Bua 4th with 7 points (-2 goals).

Olinga said the idea of Cooperate league was initiated by Apac veteran football team after acquiring a personalized Jersey through Radio Apac, Jamis and Obasanjo Electricals who were the main sponsors under the theme ” keep fit and be healthy”.

According to Mr. Olinga, the winners shall receive a Trophy which is already in place curtesy of Mr Okuu Deogracious and the award shall take place immediately the league ends in April.
