The Vice Chancellor of Victoria University Kampala, Dr. Lawrence Muganga, has confirmed that the university has created opportunities for 2024 Senior Four (S4) learners who are unable to progress to Advanced Level (A’Level) due to various reasons.

“Dear S4 leavers, missing out on A’Level admission is not the end of your educational journey. At Victoria University’s Institute of Advanced Technical Studies, we offer an exciting opportunity for you to continue your studies and acquire practical, hands-on skills essential for building a successful career in today’s competitive job market,” Dr. Muganga stated on his official X handle.

He further urged the public to share the information, emphasising that the application deadline is Friday, February 28, 2025. He encouraged interested learners to visit the Victoria University website and apply.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education and Sports, through the Commissioner for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Operations and Management, has called on persons with special needs to apply for scholarships for the 2025/2026 intake.

According to an official statement from the ministry, eligible applicants must have at least an O’Level certificate with a minimum of Credit Four. For those under the new lower secondary curriculum, the learner must have at least a Grade B in Mathematics and Physics or hold a Credit Craft Junior Certificate from a recognised institution.

“Duly filled application forms should be submitted no later than March 7, 2025, to the TVET Operations and Management offices, Legacy Towers, 3rd Floor. Applicants should not exceed 25 years of age,” the commissioner stated.
