Following the expiration of the guild council of Victoria University in Kampala. The University body decided to organize elections intended to get new students’ leaders and students participated in good numbers. After the counting if votes, Khaukha Emmanuel, a third-year Bachelor of Pharmacy student was elected as the 8th Guild President of Victoria University.
Khaukha Emanuel was declared the winner of the 2025 guild presidential elections after getting 2,669 votes, which represents 75.8% of the total 3,522 votes cast. His main opponent, Mr. Mugundho Robin Percy, received 856 votes, which represents 24.4% of the vote. It is against this background that Victoria University congratulated Khauka Emanuel on his win and extended their best wishes to him and the newly elected Guild Cabinet.
“We congratulate Khauka M.A. Emmanuel on being elected as the Guild President,” the university posted. “We also extend our best wishes to him and the entire newly elected Guild Cabinet as they begin their tenure. May they have a successful and impactful time in office, driving positive change and progress for the student body,” the university statement concluded.
After being declared, Khaukha expressed his gratitude and commitment to serving the university. “I am honoured to be the 8th Guild President of Victoria University,” he tweeted. Many students decided to congratulate Khauka upon this milestone. “I congratulate Emma for having been elected as our guild President. I pray that the good Lord blesses his Works and the entire guild council. Am happy because he’s been my candidate. I voted for him because of his big heart” a student who preferred anonymity said.
