Several headteachers in Kampala have expressed gratitude following the release of the 2025 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results last week, attributing their schools’ strong performance to hard work, parental support, and divine favour.

Speaking to journalists in Kampala, Mr Kizito Joseph, headteacher of Sheehan Standard Day and Boarding Primary School, said the school’s impressive results reflected teamwork between teachers, parents, and learners.

He thanked God for the achievement, noting that while some schools struggled, his institution performed well.

“I am so grateful to God for the results we achieved in last year’s Primary Seven examinations. We also appreciate our teachers and entire staff for their dedication. Our success is a result of the good relationship we maintain with both staff and parents,” he said.

Mr Kizito particularly commended parents for their cooperation, saying timely payment of school fees enabled smooth school operations.

“I want to thank our parents for entrusting us with their children. They have been very supportive since their children joined Primary Seven. We encourage them to continue bringing learners to this school,” he added.

He also advised parents to choose secondary schools with strong values for their children. To pupils who passed, he urged them to maintain good discipline in secondary school, and encouraged those who did not qualify to repeat, emphasising that failure is not the end.

Meanwhile, Mr Seruwu John, headteacher of Good Hope Primary School, Nabulagala, also celebrated outstanding results.

“We are overwhelmed with joy. All our learners passed and can join Senior One. We only registered first and second grades. We thank God because He has been with us throughout the year,” he said.

He attributed their success to early preparation, timely completion of the syllabus, and extensive revision during Terms II and III.

Mr Seruwu encouraged parents to continue trusting the school and said they are ready to advise families on suitable secondary schools for their children.

According to the Ministry of Education, Senior One placement will take place on 12 and 13 February 2026, with Term One for secondary schools beginning on 2 March 2026.
