By the close of the expression of interest process, some of the notable individuals who picked nomination forms included:
Speaking after picking his nomination form, Kamya Moses Magaya expressed confidence in his candidacy:
“My name is Kamya Moses. I am very sure that I am going to win this election because I am the best candidate. Our constituency has been lagging behind, which is why I’ve decided to step forward and represent the people of Bugabula South,” he said.
It should be noted that those expressing interest in Parliamentary positions paid a non-refundable fee of UGX 3 million, while those vying for Mayor and LCV Chairperson positions paid UGX 1 million.
