The 32nd National Agricultural Show and the 5th National Agricultural Education Show will take place from 26th June to 11th July 2026 at the UNFFE showgrounds in Jinja. The event has been confirmed by relevant organisers today at the Uganda Media Centre in Kampala. Farmers and the general public have been encouraged to participate.
The Uganda Development Forum (UDF), Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), the Uganda National Farmers Federation (UNFFE), the Parish Development Model (PDM) Secretariat, and Local Government Authorities represented by Chief Administrative Officers and Town Clerks through the Ministry of Local Government, have established a coordinated operational partnership aimed at driving agricultural transformation through an integrated, parish-level implementation framework.
Delivering a media statement on behalf of the team, the Executive Director of the Uganda Development Forum, Edward Katende, emphasised the significance of the coalition.
“This coalition is not just a ceremonial arrangement. It represents a fundamental restructuring of how government wealth creation programmes are designed, communicated, demonstrated, and embedded at the grassroots. Each partner brings a distinct and non-duplicating capability,” he said.
According to Katende, the coalition is rolling out structured farmer education programmes through practical training centres and OWC extension officers in every district.
“The coalition is promoting live demonstrations as proof of concept through functional model farms and agro-enterprises operated by PDM and Emyooga beneficiaries. These allow prospective participants to see, touch, and speak directly with people whose livelihoods have been transformed,” he added.
