Private Schools Shine as Kole Releases 2026 Mock Exam Results.

Private primary schools have dominated the 2026 Kole District Mock Examinations, outperforming government-aided institutions across the board.

The results, officially released by the Kole District Examination Board (KODEB) at Okole Primary School, show private schools sweeping the top positions while several public schools recorded a zero percent pass rate.

Akalo Comprehensive Primary School emerged overall best with a 100% pass rate, followed by Sardis Primary, Angel Gabriel Primary (100%), Atin Yesu Primary (97.9%), and Aberdyangoto Primary (97%).

In contrast, government-aided institutions struggled severely, with Okole Primary recording 23% and several schools, including Ilera, Teobia, St. Paul, Ayamo, and Akalo Primary School scoring 0%.

At sub-county level, Ayer Sub-County emerged as the top performer, followed by Bala, Akalo, Ayer Town Council, and Aboke, while Okwerodot and Alito recorded the lowest scores.

Geographically, Kole South outperformed Kole North.Addressing headteachers, Tom Richard Ongom, Chairman of Kole District Headteacher’s Association, stated that the mock results provide a vital diagnostic tool to identify academic weaknesses before the primary leaving examinations.

He cited Chronic absenteeism among both teachers and pupils as a major driver of poor performance.

Kole District Education Officer, Tom Okare announced that headteachers of underperforming public schools will face disciplinary action, including potential dismissal, if national exam results mirror the mock outcome.

Kole LC5 Chairperson, Eng. Moses Oteng urged school administrators to strengthen early grade foundational learning, noting that weak basics in lower primary directly impact candidate performance.

Meanwhile, Resident District Commissioner Gillian Akullu Omara warned head teachers against laxity and unauthorized fees, directing all teachers to report to work promptly for the third term.

According to KODEB data, English was the best-performed subject with a 68% pass rate, followed by Science (66%) and Social Studies (65%). Mathematics registered the lowest performance at 50%.
