The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party, has today ended the process of those members wishing you express interest in different positions. Speaking to the media, the Electoral Commission chairperson, Dr. Tanga Odoi, confirmed that over 3000 members have been able to pick nomination forms at the Kyadondo road, plot 13 in Kampala. The chairperson has also reaffirmed to the country that they are not going to add more days.
“We have had a wonderful exercise and next is the nomination of candidates which will start on the 17th up to 30 2025,” he said. By the end of the nomination exercise, some of the members who have expressed interest are; Engoorit Grace, Aspiring LCV Chairperson, Palisa district, Major (rtd) Jessica Alupo, aspiring woman member of Parliament for Katakwi district, Prophet Muyingo, Jim Muhwezi, Kamya Moses Magaya; aspiring member of Parliament for Bugabula South Constituency, among others.
“My name is Kamya Moses, I am very sure that am going to win this elections because I am the best candidate. Our constituency has been lagging behind, that is why I have decided to come and represent my people of Bugabula South Constituency,” he said. It should be noted that those who expressed interest in the position of Member of Parliament have paid Uganda Shillings 3 million and 1 million for Mayor and LCV chairperson. The money paid to is nonrefundable.
Meanwhile, Wilbert Taya, aspiring member of Parliament for Oyam North, after picking nomination forms, told his voters that he will work for them because he been on the ground and ready to do the representation very well.
