In a bid to motivate learners and improve performance in Lamwo district, Padibe, Agoro, Palabek and Madi Opei Development Associations have moved to award best performing Candidates in the PLE, UCE and UACE annually.
The Chief Magistrate of Lira and also the Chairperson Padibe Community in Kampala, Mr. Samson Obedi Loum said performance of children in education is the responsibility of all stakeholders and as Padibe community in Kampala they pledge to support each child that will perform well and would wish to study in Kampala with school fees in a boarding school.
He also called on teachers and education experts to investigate why private schools perform better than government schools.

Mr. Komakech Dennis Magendo the Chairperson Agoro community revealed that out of 235 pupils that registered for PLE in 2022 in Agoro sub-county, none got first grade, describing the results as disappointing.
He however pledged that Agoro community will support the best performing children with sum of Ugx300,000 for school fees. Mr. Magendo appeals to the District Education Officer to make checks and balance in the transfer of teaches since most of the teachers transferred to Agoro are old.
Mr. Banabas Langoya, the DEO Lamwo said some teachers are transferred based on their request especially when they are heading towards their retirement.
