ECOTRUST trains Kitgum farmers on Farm Voice Radio

The Environmental Conservation Trust Uganda- ECOTURST with funding from FCDO on Thursday, March 28th, 2025 trained Kitgum farmers on Farm Voice Radio Program that will enhance their productivity.

While speaking to selected Farmers from Labongo Akwang, Namokora, and Omiya Anyima West Sub-Counties at Bomah Hotel in Kitgum, Mr. Jonah Batsatsa, IT, Communication, and Public relations coordinator at ECOTRUST said the Farm Voice Radio will bring farmers together to discuss the challenges they face and how to overcome these challenges.

He added that Farm Voice radio, which will be aired on Tembo FM every Tuesday and Friday aims to create a platform for farmers to interact and stay healthy and productive to supplement their livelihoods.

He also said Farm Voice Radio will make the farmers adaptive to climatic changes to avoid shocks that come with adverse weather conditions.

Mr. Anywar Martin, the Kitgum District Forest Officer appealed to the farmers to be articulate during the Farm Voice Radio Program and train other farmers with the knowledge they have reacquired from ECOTRUST
