A bodaboda rider in Oyam Town is facing accusations of stealing a goat during the dry season, around January this year, from Tecuk Cell in Oyam Town Council. Allegedly, he altered the goat’s appearance by grooming off its beard to disguise its identity.

Shine FM’s news desk, after hearing numerous complaints about this bodaboda rider over the past year, launched an investigation that ultimately brought his actions into public scrutiny. According to reports, the rider, identified as Okwir from Billboard Stage in Oyam Town Council, hails from Tecuk Cell in the same town council.

Speaking to Shine FM’s reporter, Abel Ojok, an elder from Tecuk Cell, shared that during the dry season, he lost three goats. By God’s grace, he discovered that Okwir was illegally keeping his goats. Okwir allegedly cut the beard of one goat and altered its appearance to mask its identity.

In response, Okwir Ronald claimed the black goat he left during the dry season resembled Abel Ojok’s. After the goat was confiscated, Okwir maintained that Ojok falsely claimed it as his, adding that he was not a thief and felt unfairly targeted.

Other bodaboda riders commented on Okwir’s behavior, stating he has several theft-related cases pending and is considered the most indisciplined among his colleagues.

Attempts to obtain a comment from the LC I of Alutkot Cell were unsuccessful.
