Civil Servant in Oyam District has acknowledged to pay a VSLA group 2.6m debt

This follows circumstances under which Julius Tukamahabwe reportedly borrowed UGX 2.6 million shillings last year from the above mentioned VSLA GROUP but he is said to have refused to pay back his loan.

This prompted this group members to mount pressure on Julius through the office of the resident district commissioner of Oyam District which eventually forced him to accept to clear this loan from January and February this year without failed however he refuted to be recorded.

 During the press time some members of GENE EN TEKO group could not hide their grievances.

William Komakec the resident district commissioner of Oyam district however in his remark advises clients with high demand to seek loans from higher financial institution like Banks in order to suite their needs.

This is not the first time civil servants are failing to clear VSLA loans, recently the Senior Assistant Secretary of Acaba sub county Mr Obangkwon Mark was arrested and later released on police bone after his frailer to pay 1.3 million shillings loan borrowed from Kony Pacu VSLA group.
