Oyam North MP donates 60 pieces of Iron Sheets to Wigweng Chapel

Oyam North Member of Parliament Dr. Eunice Apio Otuku has Donated 60 pieces of Iron Sheets for the Roofing of All Saints Wigweng Catholic Chapel in Oyam Town Council.
This donation was given on Sunday during a fund-raising drive organized by the Christians of this church to generate money for the roofing of the church.
During the event Dr. Apio Otuko offered 600,000 for roofing Wigweng Church and another 500,000 shillings to facilitate the roofing of Catechist house as well as provision of 60 pieces of Iron Sheets for the roofing of All Saint Wigweng Catholic church.
Dr. Apio in her remarks asked servants of God and Christians community in Oyam District to pray for her so that she can be protected from corruption tendency which is now very rampant in the current regime.
In regard to the development of Oyam North Constituency, Dr. Apio said after bringing Geneva Global one of the NGOs supporting school dropouts in Oyam North County she has again agreed to bring another US based Organization which will Supporting various women, Youths and Elderly projects in the entire District.
Meanwhile Fred Ebil Ebil the UPC Secretary General who is also the husband to Dr. Eunice Apio Otuko appreciated the people of Oyam North for voting a competent Member of Parliament who is giving courage and hope that UPC candidate will wind the upcoming Dokolo Woman MP by-election slated for 21st, March,2024.
Ebil equally contributed 200,000 shillings to support the roofing of All Saints Wigweng Catholic Chapel.
After receiving this support some Christians of Wigweng Catholic church could not hide their excitement over this development where they appreciated Dr. Apio for the job well done however they also appealed for more supports for the full completion of this church.
Patrick Okello Auma Chairperson Christian Community of All Saints Wigweng Catholic Chapel equally extended his appreciation to Dr. Apio for the support saying the bill of quantity (BOQ) for the completion of this church was estimated at 120 million shillings and they are currently seeking for 75 million shillings for the completion of this historical church urging all stakeholders and well-wishers to continue supporting this church.
All Saints Wigweng Catholic Church was initiated since 1936 where it gradually developed however after its renovation in 2013 this church building unfortunately collapsed due to strong winds which eventually forced Christian community into fresh fundraising for the reconstruction of this historical church.
