Village Education Committees trained on Data Collection

Village Education Committees of Iceme sub-county in Oyam District have been trained on how to collect Data to Asses learning Within the Community held at F.I.C.H Office in Akong Atar , Angweta parish in Iceme sub-county , Oyam District
The aim of the training was to prioritize enhancement of Literacy and Numeracy in Oyam District Foundation for inclusive community help F.I.C.H
An N.G.O working to improve learning in Oyam District said that their priority for this year majorly focus on improvement of literacy and Numeracy learning from p1-p4 class
mr Emmy Jumulamaya Okello, executive director f.i.c.h said that basing on data they collected shows that majority of learners from p1-p4 do not know how to read and write in order to achieve this
Emmy said that they are going to employ different methods and conventions to avert which include engaging and sensitizing parents of their role to support learning of their children ,engaging shool administrators, working with the ministry of education to asses how secondary students are using the new curriculum and how they are performing
