Oyam District Education Department has made resolutions to improve performance

These resolutions were made during a school performance surgery organised by Oyam district education department in an engagement meeting held at Anyeke primary school recently where that engagement attracted a number of education stakeholders.
David Adea Senior Education Officer of Oyam District said the purpose of that engagement was to brain storm and fine out why Oyam North constituency always perform poorly in primary leaving examination where they found that there has been a big gape in assessments, ICT and monitoring as well as Capacity building among teachers that must be strengthen if performance in primary education is to improve in Oyam North Constituency.
Adea in his Conclusion appealed to all the participants to do all it takes to ensure that change is brought in the education of Oyam North

Sam Openy an inspector of schools in charge Oyam North identified that for a decade school in Oyam South have been performing far much better than Oyam North schools where he sited examples that in 2033 PLE results out of 20 worth Oyam North had 15 schools and among the best 20 Oyam North had only 3 schools.

Meanwhile Dr Eunice Apio Otuku the Oyam North area member of parliament who was among the participants invited equally welcomed the engagement saying it is timely where she also pledged full commitments to support this initiative for the improvement of education performance in Oyam North Constituency.
According to a report Oyam North County has 58 schools and all the head teachers for the 58 schools were presents during that engagement meeting held at St Peter’s Church Of Uganda Parish Anyeke.
