One arrested, two on run for stealing fuel meant for road rehabilitation

Law enforcement authorities have made significant ways to reduced level of crime.
Police in Chawente outpost are holding one suspects on allegations of stealing fuel meant for rehabilitation of Aboko-Chawente road.
The suspects have been identified only as Otim residents Adograo village in Adograo parish, Chawente sub/county and two which are on run include Omara Oscar and Ogwal Ambrose all are resident of Wansolo fish landing site in Apac District whom they stayed at Alido trading center.
George Ekol, the newly appointed officer in charged for Chawente outpost from Adwari police post in Otuke District says four jerrycans of suspected stolen fuel has been registered in his office and suspect are currently being detained at Chawente outpost waiting for the witness to confirmed.
Ekol says police received intelligence led information that the trio had connived with some lazy youth of Alido.
According to Ekol, once police investigations are through, the suspects will be produced before court to be charged with theft.
Conclusively he called upon community of Chawente to be vigilant enough in order to reduced rate of crime more especially among youth.

Moses Onguu Okello,the Chairperson LC3 for Chawente sub/county in comment through phone interview says is not the first time because similar case of this kind happen in 2021 when he has just joined the office at Arweny-Ogwango-Gwang road.
Further more he called upon youth to work very hard using available recourses like land other than living lazy life of staying in trading center daily.

Moses Alem Ojuka, chairperson road rehabilitation of Aboko-Chawente in his comment said that his expectation and fear is that the operator will faced a lot of challenges.
Alem said that work on road has started well with bush clearing last week.
