Hon. Santa Alum Donates 69 Bags of Cement to Churches in Oyam

Hon. Santa Sandra Alum Ogwang, Minister of State for Economic Monitoring in the Office of the President and Woman Member of Parliament for Oyam District, has extended her support to churches and religious institutions in Oyam District by donating a total of 69 bags of cement to aid construction and renovation projects.

The donation was delivered through her representative, Mr. Ogwang Douglas, who handed over the construction materials to the respective beneficiaries.

The beneficiaries included:

• St. Thereza Chapel in Oporowie – 30 bags
• Truth Fountain Church in Adigo – 15 bags
• Aloni Iceme Catechist House – 24 bags

This contribution is expected to accelerate the completion and improvement of church facilities that serve as vital centres for worship, community engagement, and social development.

Speaking during the handover, Minister Alum, through her representative, emphasized the importance of supporting community-led initiatives and strengthening religious institutions in their efforts to improve facilities for congregations and the wider community. She noted that such support is part of her continued commitment to grassroots development and uplifting the standards of worship centres across Oyam.

Church leaders and beneficiaries warmly welcomed the donation, expressing gratitude to the Minister for responding to their needs and contributing towards ongoing construction projects. They highlighted that the cement will greatly enhance their ability to complete structures that have long been delayed due to resource constraints.
