IIRR Uganda trained farmers in Oyam District on climate smart agricultural practices.

International Institute of Rural Reconstruction has trained rural farmers in Oyam District on climate smart agricultural practices.

Climate Smart Agricultural Practice (CSAP) is one of the major keys that agricultural development approaches aimed at; to sustainably increase productivity and resilience, while also reducing the effects; as well as removing productions of greenhouse gases.

Robert Kaliisa, an official working with international Institute of Rural Reconstruction while disseminating their finding to Oyam District officials says.

One farmer, John Richard Bua from Iceme Sub County says he was able to reap big after being taught by IIRR on climate smart agriculture.

Meanwhile, Tommy Opio, the Agricultural officer Oyam district has this message to farmers.

Has been collaborating with GIZ to promote climate smart agriculture in Agago, Kitgum, Napak, Oyam, Lira and Dokolo district among others in Northern Uganda.
