Over 30 PWD’s received training in vocational skills and finance planning

30 people with disabilities have been trained at Imara Technical and Vocational Training school in Oyam district. They received their certificates of completion in various fields of vocational studies such as soap making, tailoring, welding and metal fabrication and were given all the startup tools on Wednesday 12th July. They have also received additional knowledge on how to save and plan for money in order to raise the level of their business.
Owiny Calvin Darius who was the facilitator told them never to spend money luxuriously so that they achieve their set goals in different sectors of development and to avoid them going for loans.
On the other hand, the Director Imara Technical School, Walter Louis Omara thanked Show Abilities Uganda for their support towards strengthening people with disabilities since it will make these people a success and not a failure in the society.
Among the 30 beneficiaries who received the certificates were Okello Denis, Opio Innocent, Ogwal Ambrose, Ogwang Maxwell, Okello Micheal, Achola Mildren, and Amolo Juliet, among others.
Show Abilities Uganda is an non- governmental organisation whose main aim and objective is to raise and strengthen people with disabilities on the skills of development on various sectors of socio-economic transformation.
