“Give Leaders Time to Serve All” – Oyam NRM Chairman Bosco Onyik Ogwal

Speaking at the burial of Imat Kerobina Alii On Saturday 12th, September ,2026,the beloved mother of Hon. Francis Odongo Alii, Male Disability Representative in Oyam District, the NRM Chairperson for Oyam District, Bosco Onyik Ogwal, has appealed to residents to give elected leaders from Local Council I up to Parliament time to serve.

Onyik Ogwal encouraged those whose candidates did not win to support the elected representatives, stressing that government programs are delivered without segregation and must benefit all citizens equally.

He warned that anyone arrested for corruption should not seek his intervention, emphasizing that leaders must work with integrity to ensure government programs reach the rightful beneficiaries, as more initiatives are still on the way.

Meanwhile, District Chairman Nelson Adea Akar also addressed mourners, expressing gratitude to President Museveni for increasing road maintenance funds from one billion to two billion shillings among six districts in Uganda.

Akar pledged to work closely with the President for the development of Oyam, even stating that he would kneel before him if necessary for the district’s progress.

He revealed that the road linking Ajuri Village to Iceme, crossing Akot swamp via Upper Centre Agoa Village in Oyam Town Council, has already been included in the budget.

Akar called upon Bosco Onyik Ogwal to join hands with him in advancing Oyam District regardless of political affiliation.
