Omoro District leaders have united in a renewed push for holistic development, with District Chairman Hon. Okot Andrew Obibi convening all Sub‑County Chairpersons today to restore the NRM’s glory and speed up service delivery.

The engagement was aimed at restoring the National Resistance Movement’s (NRM) glory and accelerating service delivery across the district.

In his address, Hon. Obibi emphasized the importance of rising above political differences and working collectively to meet the needs of the people of Omoro. He urged leaders to embrace teamwork and prioritize the implementation of development programs that directly benefit communities.

Omoro District NRM Chairperson, Okot Morish Odong, who also serves as LCIII Chairperson of Lakwana Sub‑County, commended the District LC5 Chairperson for convening the meeting. He stressed that teamwork is essential in realizing the NRM manifesto and called upon party members and elected leaders to take a firm stand against corruption.

Mr. Odong appealed to government to integrate NRM leaders at all levels into government programs to strengthen accountability and ensure effective service delivery at the grassroots. He further urged government to conduct orientation and capacity‑building sessions for party leaders to equip them with the skills needed for efficient leadership.

In response, NRM Chairpersons from across the district pledged to work hand‑in‑hand with the District Chairperson and other elected leaders to achieve “the Omoro we want.” Their commitment underscored a collective resolve to foster integrity, discipline, and unity in the pursuit of development.

This meeting followed a similar engagement held yesterday with all 15 LCIII Chairpersons from Sub‑Counties and Town Councils in Omoro, signaling a district‑wide momentum towards coordinated leadership and holistic growth.
