NRM leaders endorse Jane Acilo for Oyam Woman MP 2026

NRM party leaders of Acaba subcounty and Oyam town council in Oyam North Constituency, Oyam district, have endorsed Jane Francise Acilo as the party’s sole candidate for the 2026 elections. This was revealed during a consultative meeting held at Abia Cell, Eastern Ward, in Oyam town council.

After the endorsement, party members expressed excitement over Acilo’s leadership qualities and capabilities, pledging their support for her in the upcoming 2026 general election. They praised her visionary leadership, which she has demonstrated even before joining Parliament.

According to Peter Ebong Acaba, the endorsement is now complete, and party leaders should immediately focus on coordinating efforts between grassroots and central leadership.

Dorothy Key Achola, a resident of Ajuri Cell, Eastern Ward, Oyam town council, urged the aspirant to address farmers’ challenges through a well-coordinated manifesto when elected as the Woman Member of Parliament for Oyam district.

Jane Francise Acilo pledged her commitment to supporting community development groups, including Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA), farmers’ groups, churches, mosques, schools, widows, the elderly, and people with disabilities in Oyam district.

Acilo, who is also a farmer, expressed her readiness to support farmers in Oyam district by providing productive crops and securing markets for their produce.
