Timagi Community Medical Centre is set to expand its facilities following the completion of a general hospital building to meet the increasing demand for healthcare services in Oyam district.

This was revealed by Peter Olet, the administrator of the medical centre, during a thanksgiving prayer organised to appreciate the youths who volunteered to mold bricks for the construction of the hospital.

Olet stated that the medical centre plans to construct specialised clinics, including patient housing for men, women, and children, as well as a mortuary.

Rev. Joel Peter Tema, the Parish Priest of Ogwang Apur Parish, urged Oyam residents to prioritize their health by utilising the well-facilitated health services available in the district.

He appreciated the youths who molded bricks for the hospital’s construction and encouraged them to continue serving with dedication. Tema also commended Dr. Olet Peter for establishing a medical centre with good facilities to address health challenges in the community.

Denis Olila, the Public Relations Officer of Timagi, stated that the medical centre has a broader vision to provide accessible healthcare to the people of Oyam, eliminating the need to travel long distances in search of medical care. He highlighted the facility’s expansion, which includes a large building with different sections such as a theatre room and patient wards.
