A boda boda rider in Oyam town is facing accusations of stealing a goat during the dry season, around January this year, from Tecuk cell in Oyam town council. He allegedly altered the goat’s appearance by shaving off its beard to disguise its identity.

Shine FM’s news desk, having received numerous complaints about the rider over the past year, launched an investigation that eventually brought his actions into public scrutiny. The rider, identified as Okwir from Billboard Stage in Oyam town council, is said to be a resident of Tecuk cell in the same area.

Speaking to Shine FM’s reporter, Abel Ojok, an elder from Tecuk cell, claimed that he lost three goats during the dry season. By God’s grace, he discovered that Okwir was allegedly keeping his goats illegally.

Okwir is said to have trimmed the beard of one goat to change its appearance and conceal its identity.
In response, Okwir Ronald claimed that the black goat he left behind during the dry season merely resembled Abel Ojok’s.

After the goat was confiscated, he insisted that Ojok had falsely identified it as his own, adding that he was not a thief and felt he was being unfairly accused.

Other boda boda riders also commented on Okwir’s conduct, stating that he has several pending theft-related cases and is regarded as the most undisciplined among his peers.
Attempts to obtain a comment from the LC I Chairperson of Alutkot cell were unsuccessful.
