Hon. Peter Kawuki, the Mpigi District Chairperson, alongside Mr. Ronald Kazibwe, the District Commercial Officer, has reassured traders of Mpigi Central Market that they will soon be relocated to the nearly completed temporary market structures. The move will allow the commencement of construction works on a modern multi-billion-shilling market expected to enhance trade and improve business opportunities in the district. The market was initially built to accommodate 100 traders but the number later exceeded the required number to 600 traders by the time the district closed the market for construction. The New market is expected to accommodate 900 traders after completion.

The leaders made the assurance today during a meeting with traders and other stakeholders at the temporary market site.
