Mpigi leaders inspect government-funded projects for environmental compliance

The Chairperson of Mpigi District, Hon. Peter Kawuki, together with members of the District Environment and Natural Resources Committee, including the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Dr. George Kwizera, and the Assistant Resident District Commissioner, Mr. Saad Mwanje, conducted a monitoring visit to government-funded projects.

The team inspected the ongoing construction of the perimeter fence and access ramp at the Mpigi District Headquarters to assess compliance with environmental protection measures and occupational health and safety standards.

The monitoring exercise was aimed at ensuring that the projects are being implemented in accordance with the required environmental and safety regulations.

The inspection reflects Hon. Peter Kawuki’s continued dedication to promoting accountability, quality service delivery, and sustainable development across Mpigi District. The construction of the perimeter fence at the district headquarters is almost complete with atleast 70% complete.
