Kasese FDC publicity secretary condemns cheap politics over Kilembe Mines Hospital

The Kasese district FDC political partyPublicity Secretary, Mr. Ronald Kabuku has described as cheap politics by the Kasese political leaders whom he blames for misguiding the local population about circumstances surrounding the reported halt of Kilembe mines Hospital operations in Kasese district.

Mr. Kabuku who said the Ministry had shared with different stakeholders in Kasese district about her current position, said he was surprised that the district and the Bulembia Division councils had failed to interpret and guide the locals about central government position about the hospital.

He wondered how even after the Kasese district Chief Administrative office papered her proposals over what can be done now that the Kilembe valley wasn’t reliable any more for the hospital, the same politicians incited the local community against the Diocese of Kasese that was part of the tripartite agreement. Mr. Kabuku later compared some politicians in Kasese to a husband who demands a child from his divorced wife he had blamed for being infertile.

The Kasese district FDC’s General Secretary, Mr. Alfred Ikwera wonders how the Diocese of Kasese should be blamed for not renewing her partnership into a venture that Kilembe mines limited, a partner in the tripartite agreement can no longer provide for as before.

He describes the current frictions and said recent foiled protest by the locals as a hand work of self-seeking politicians who failed to interpret what the hospital future would be like. Mr. Ikwera speaking……
