Omusinga’s visit to H.E. Museveni was a success

The first phase of the Royal visits in the Kingdom by the His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere, the Rwenzururu King were a success, Hon. Juliet Best Ferigo Bakoko, the Kingdom Minister of Education and Sports has said.

Hon. Best who was one of the executive committee members organizing the Royal tours told this radio that despite a few challenges, the visits by the King went on well thus, appreciating the Kingdom subjects and Uganda security in Kasese led by Lt. Joe Walunsimbi, the Kasese RDC. 

Seeing off the King at the Kasese Airfield yesterday, Hon. Best used part of the interview to ask the Kingdom subjects to listen and implement the King’s Kingdom rebranding message of reconciliation, unity, peace, hard work and economic transformation that will improve their living conditions.

The Acting Police Spokesperson for Rwenzori East Region, SP Luke Mbusa said the King’s visits were guided by his five pillars of rebranding the kingdom; peace, unity, reconciliation, poverty eradication and mindset change he suspected the President could reecho during their meeting for the good of the Ugandan citizens and Rwenzururu Kingdom subjects.

During the meeting at State House in Entebbe yesterday, President Museveni is quoted to have expressed happiness to learn that the Kingdom had begun a new chapter which is aligned with the vision of the National Resistance Movement to transform Uganda.

He is also quoted to have assured the Kingdom that the government will in the new financial year embark on the work of constructing the Kingdom palace in Kasese and also improve monthly allowances given to the kingdoms.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of State for ICT and National Guidance, Godfrey Kabbyanga Baluku, the Deputy Attorney General, Jackson Kafuuzi, and several Ministers from the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu.
