Tusker Lite Rwenzori Theluji Marathon described as tourism potential

Mr. Benson Kule Baritazale, the Chairperson of Kasese Tourism Investments Forum has described the recent Tusker Lite Rwenzori Theluji Marathon as a tourism potential that has portrayed Kasese district on the international world.

Addressing a press conference held at Shiloh hotel in Kasese town yesterday, Mr. Baritazale said at least two thousand people participated in the second edition of Tusker Lite Rwenzori Theluji Festival compared to last year’s edition that registered eight hundred participants.

He said during the marathon talent identification and development among the youth was realized, later encouraging neighbouring districts to prepare for participation in next year’s third edition.

Ms. Jovia Mbambu, the Kasese district tourism officer, who described Kasese as a tourism hub in Africa called for collaborated effort towards promoting tourism for social economic transformation.

Mr. Zepher Bwambale Kameli, appealed to the district leadership to gazette NUYO in Ibbanda-Kyanya town council as a talent development center for the young people.
